UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL FOR PLASTIC, AESTHETIC AND HAND SURGERY

136-2

Ward

You will find our ward 6 in house 60a (level 4).

Our team of nurses and caregivers will take care of you around the clock. Our registered pediatric nurses take care of our "little patients".

During your stay, our nursing and medical team will endeavor to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact our specialist personnel if you have any questions or concerns.

Our ward has 20 beds (1- or 2-bed rooms). Each of these rooms has its own bathroom with toilet and shower. Of course, the rooms are also equipped with telephone and television ( for a fee).

From Admission to Surgery

Except for emergency admissions, you will receive the appointment for inpatient admission in our outpatient clinic or in writing by mail to your home. As a rule, the necessary preparations (explanatory talks, anesthesia preparation and possible examinations) are made the day before the operation.

This is followed by the final patient presentation with senior physicians. When all these preparations are completed, you can usually go home again overnight and the actual inpatient admission takes place on the day of surgery.

We also have a well-trained team available for physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatments. There is also the possibility of outpatient treatment by our physiotherapists and occupational therapists after discharge from inpatient treatment.
